What Previous Guests Say About The Owlery

Slapton Ley and Start Bay Beaches in the beautiful South Hams

Beautiful location near Slapton beach and the Ley. Lovely if you have a dog and very helpful hosts. Comfortable accommodation in a very peaceful spot. Nice pubs in Slapton and excellent fish and chips at the Start Bay Inn. Dartmouth has a good choice of restaurants including Rockfish and the excellent Taylor’s and The Seahorse.

Woodland Walk at Dittiscombe Estate

Wish we could have stayed longer. Stayed in the Owlrey it is a well thought out property with everything you need for comfortable stay, so comfortable that one day we did not venture out. The owners are very friendly as are the dogs, what they have done to create an environmentally friendly estate over 20 years or so is a brilliant example of how to encourage rewilding. Wish we had found it years ago.

Aerial view of Dittiscombe Estate & Cottages

We had a lovely, peaceful break in a beautiful location. We were welcomed on arrival but left completely to our own devices for the duration of our stay. The Owlery was exactly as shown in the photos and met all of our needs perfectly. We would love to come again.

Have to give a mention to the bathroom as well, the bath is huge and the shower was the best I’ve ever used while away.
