The Winking Prawn beach cafe. You have to have the Super Hot Chocolate – it was amazing.

I would recommend The Start Bay Inn for good fish and chips, note that a small cod and chips is enough for the heartiest appetite.

The ‘Seabreeze’ cafe at Torcross is very pleasant for coffee etc. Also the Start Inn at Torcross excellent for fish and chips. The Church House Inn at Stokenham good for Sunday lunch.

We enjoyed delicious meals at the local restaurants, The Cove at Hope Cove, The Start Point at Torcross and The Cricket Inn at Beesands were particular favourites.

There is a farm shop on the right on the way to Kingsbridge (Stokeley Farm Shop and Cafe) that is really great. Highly recommended for coffee, breakfast or lunch at their cafe. And a great source of bread and groceries. In Slapton, The Tower inn offers incredible food but slow service. The Queens Arms is really friendly, has a great garden and super service. It offers very good food at reasonable prices.
